On Thursday 4th of May our fifth years travelled to Dublin to visit two of the most popular 3rd level colleges. For our morning tour we travelled to the north side of the city to D.C.U. Dublin City University is one of the fasted growing third level institutions in Ireland. We were welcomed outside the infamous Helix and from there we were taken on an extensive tour of the campus. Once the tour finished we were given a presentation by the student welfare officer. This was most informative and will no doubt be a vital tool for consideration when making our final CAO decision this summer.
We then travelled cross city to U.C.D. There we were met by the student ambassadors who were responsible for showing us around the campus. We were divided into smaller groups and we then went on a walking tour of the college. The student ambassadors provided a first-hand insight into the different parts of the college and their unique understanding of the college provided us with valuable insights into a world we all hopefully enter this coming September.
