Exam Review: French
Although perhaps not as pleasant as last year’s written paper, students remained very positive about the Leaving Certificate Higher Level French written exam.

Friday afternoon’s Maths paper 1 was a very straightforward exam. Section A consisted of six questions and students were required to answer five.
A well thought out exam which included fair questions on key areas of the course which are usually present on the exam, as well as a good mix of Unit three questions in Sections A and C to give students plenty of choice and the opportunity to show their learning.
A well–balanced Irish Paper One with a tricky Listening Comprehension, yet very understandable essay titles.
Balanced and well received. The sections were very topical, fair, and accessible to all students. The short questions had a wide variety of topics, and the section was very manageable.
A very generous paper that most students should be very pleased with. In “Hamlet”, candidates were asked to discuss “Hamlet’s complex relationship with Gertrude” and how it reflects the play’s “core issues”.
The higher-level home economics paper was a very manageable and topical paper that offered students a great variety of choices in the questions offered, especially with the amendments to the paper this year.
English Paper One was a very fair and enjoyable paper with a lovely variety of questions.
